8 Celebrity Valentine’s Day Proposals and Marriages

According to reports nearly 6 million couples are likely to get engaged on Valentine’s Day. This does not include the people who get married on the actual day.

Here are eight well-known celebrities who thought it was the best day to celebrate love.  

Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter 

 The couple wed on the Isle of White in a beautiful ceremony on Valentine’s Day 2015. Their low key wedding day took place in the 12^th Century Church of St Peter & St Paul near the town of Brighstone.

 Sophie wore a stunning Valentino wedding gown which was inspired by William Blake’s watercolour paintings. The silver lace wedding dress featured a high neckline along with pomegranate and vine motif patterns.

Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault

The actress and the French billionaire wed in an intimate ceremony in Paris on Valentines Day 2009 in the famous opera house, Teatro La Fenice

Salma wore a beautiful gown designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, that closely resembles a beautiful Casablanca Bridal gown, Arielle.

It’s reported that the wedding day cost a whopping $3.5m and was attended by many family and friends, including some well-known stars!

Tyres Gibson and Samantha Lee

The Fast And The Famous actor Tyrese Gisbon celebrated Valentine’s Day with the biggest display of love, a wedding.

They married in 2017 in a secret ceremony. Samantha wore a gorgeous pink evening gown but glammed it up.

This style is similar to a gorgeous prom dress we have in the boutique.

Isiah Washington and Jenisa Marie Garland

If you’re a Greys Anatomy fan, Washington who played Dr.Burke in the medical drama married in a private wedding ceremony on February 14, 1996.
They have kept their wedding day out of the public eye.

Vince Vaughn and Kyla Weber

Vincent proposed to his real estate girlfriend on Valentine’s Day in 2009. The pair later tied the not at a villa in Lake Forest on January the 2nd the following year.

Christina Aguilera and Matt Rutler

Christina’s boyfriend of three years Matthew Rutler asked, and she said yes on Valentine’s Day 2014. The singer shared a sweet photo of her hand flaunting a gigantic diamond ring as she holds his hand.

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart

Harrison popped the question on Valentine’s Day in 2009. The proposal was a surprise to Calista whilst the two were away on a family vacation.

They later married in New Mexico at a casual and intimate ceremony. Ford wore Wrangler Jeans and Calista wore a simple white sundress, keeping the whole affair very informal.

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry

Announcing they were engaged following a romantic proposal on the 14th Feb 2019.

The American pop star shared a stunning picture with her man and gorgeous diamond ring. “Full bloom” We had to share this ring as it’s probably the most extravagant ring, at a whopping 4 million dollars and closely resembles the Kate Middleton and the late Princess Diana’s. Super unique!
