We are so lucky to work in partnership with a London Trained Haute Couture Dressmaker and would like to share her tips on preparing for your first fitting of that dream dress.

You have taken great care in choosing your wedding dress for your special day…now the same care must be given to making sure any adjustments or alterations are carried out to the highest standard. 

1. please have your wedding shoes with you for 1st fitting (or shoes the exact heel height) in case the length needs adjustment
2. your bridal underwear (bra)if you are wearing although the dresses usually come with built in bra cups
3. sometimes a petticoat can be comfortable with a full or heavy skirt…depending on style and your preference of course…can help to keep you cooler and for ease of walking
4. depending on alterations required (if any) 2 or 3 fittings may be necessary and can be carried in my workroom at my home in Sutton in Ashfield.
5. The cost of any work carried out is payable to myself and is due on completion of work…
